Staff seek Macedonia Road deceleration lane at proposed apartment entrance

Powder Springs staff recommend a full deceleration lane at the Macedonia Road entrance to the proposed 242-apartment development at 2761 Macedonia Road. The September 28 report identifies the lane as an off-site improvement associated with the project.

The proposed condition would not require the lane if the public works director determines it is unwarranted. Work within county right-of-way would also need Cobb County Department of Transportation approval. This is a staff recommendation, not an approved or completed road improvement.
