Macedonia Road apartment review calls for sewer-line capacity study

County comments identify available capacity at South Cobb’s treatment plant, but still require a line-capacity study.

Cobb County Water System comments retained in Powder Springs’ September 28 report say a line-capacity study will be required for the proposed 242-apartment development at 2761 Macedonia Road. The comments identify sufficient wastewater-treatment capacity at the South Cobb Water Reclamation Facility; that finding does not replace the line study.

The county says water service would come from the existing main in Macedonia Road and that it would continue owning and maintaining water and sewer facilities in public rights-of-way and easements. Permit issuance remains subject to the treatment facility’s continued compliance with state discharge requirements. These are utility comments on the proposed annexation and development, not approval of the project.
