Privacy

NickO Report is designed to explain public development records, not to build profiles of people who use the site or appear in source documents. This page is draft launch copy and requires owner and legal review before hosted publication.

Public records and private review

Public pages show only approved, source-backed events. Candidate observations, document excerpts, reviewer activity, person names, mailing addresses, and contact information remain out of public routes.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand visits and improve NickO Report. PostHog receives anonymous page views, broad device, browser and approximate location information, referring domains, bounded campaign labels, report-reading milestones, source-link clicks, technical error details, page performance, and public page interactions. A random browser identifier in local storage lets us measure repeat visits; we do not create named user profiles. We remove URL queries, fragments, search terms, correction contents and common credential patterns from these events. Private admin pages are excluded. Masked session replay helps us diagnose navigation problems: input values and correction forms are hidden, and request bodies, request headers, and console logs are not recorded. Public page text and clicks may appear in replays and heatmaps.

Google Maps

Restaurant location pages include maps provided by Google. When a map loads, your browser connects directly to Google and sends the restaurant address, this site’s origin, and technical request information such as your IP address. Google’s handling of that information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of Google Maps features and content is also subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service.

Corrections

Correction reports contain the page, claim, description, and an optional source URL. The form does not request a name, email address, parcel owner, or other contact detail.

Email subscriptions

New email signups are closed. For existing subscriptions, we privately retain your email address, signup and confirmation times, selected places and frequency, consent record, and subscription status. We use these records to manage the news emails you request. Your address is not published or added to our reader analytics. Confirmation and unsubscribe pages are excluded from analytics. Neon stores subscription records, Trigger.dev processes confirmation deliveries, and Twilio SendGrid sends the confirmation email. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours; opening a link alone does not subscribe you. Confirmations do not use open or click tracking. Regular email reports have not started yet.

You can change your choices, cancel a pending signup or unsubscribe through the links in your confirmation email. We retain your subscription status and consent history so we can honor your choice. For help or a deletion request, email hello@nickoreport.com.

Bot protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect correction submissions from automated abuse. When you submit the form, Turnstile runs an invisible browser check and processes browser and network signals. Our server verifies the resulting token before accepting your submission. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum for details.

Business-entity research

The Georgia Secretary of State lookup is a protected reviewer tool. It does not expose officer, agent, principal, or address information on public pages.
