Planners back Bulldogs food truck—with a 1 a.m. cutoff
Staff says the truck has operated since June under a separate permit. Its outdoor-sales recommendation would allow three years, not the indefinite duration requested.

Atlanta planning staff recommends approving outdoor food sales behind Bulldogs at 893 Peachtree Street NE—but with limits: a three-year permit and food-truck service ending at 1 a.m. daily. The applicant seeks indefinite permission and service until 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday.[1]
We previously reported on Bulldogs’ food-trailer proposal. The November 5 staff report adds an important distinction: the truck is already operating and has served the site since June under special administrative permit SAP-26-108, staff says. The outdoor-sales special-use request is U-26-16, paired with ordinance 26-O-1576.[1][2]
The requested schedule is 5 p.m.–2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and noon–midnight Sunday. Staff’s proposed cutoff would shorten the requested Monday–Saturday service by an hour. Four tables with two chairs each would provide about eight outdoor seats; staff recommends ending outdoor seating at midnight, prohibiting outdoor amplified music and making the permit nontransferable.[1]
The applicant expects 20–30 customers a day, drawn from the lounge, and no increase in vehicle traffic. Staff finds the hours and manner of operation suitable, citing no reported complaints or concerns during the previously permitted outdoor-dining operation.[1]
These are planning staff’s recommendations to the Zoning Review Board, not an adopted special-use permit. The November 2 council draft minutes list the case among items referred to that board. The records reviewed do not establish a final vote on the special-use request.[1][2]
