Council keeps 8.20 mills; tax levy projected to grow nearly $279,000

The rate for Fulton County properties is unchanged, but above the city's stated rollback rate. Draft minutes record no speakers at the final hearing.

Chattahoochee Hills City Council voted unanimously Nov. 5 to keep the city's 2026 property-tax rate for Fulton County properties at 8.20 mills, according to its draft meeting minutes. The rate is unchanged—but the city's projected levy is not.[1][2]

The financial picture matches our earlier levy breakdown: the city's Oct. 28 memo projects a total levy of $3,976,328, about $278,500 more than in 2025. Its table rounds that growth to 8%, with the net taxable digest rising from about $450.9 million to $484.9 million.[2]

That 8% is not an across-the-board increase in every owner's bill. Individual bills depend on property values and exemptions. The separately advertised 0.74% increase measures something else: the adopted 8.20-mill rate against the city's stated 8.14-mill rollback rate—a difference of 0.06 mills.[2]

No one spoke for or against the rate during the third and final public hearing, according to the draft minutes.[1]
