Chattahoochee Hills planners recommend barring agritourism on parcels under three acres
Their amended version would replace the 10-acre minimum with size-based visitor limits and allow requests for proof of active farming.
Explore the source documentsThe Chattahoochee Hills Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend an amended agritourism ordinance that would disallow the use on property smaller than three acres in the Rural district. This differs from the earlier version, which proposed eliminating the existing 10-acre minimum while permitting the use on still-smaller farms.

They would also allow the zoning administrator to request documentation of active agricultural production. Council has scheduled consideration for October 6; the commission's recommendation is not an adopted rule.
