Food-truck park and rage room win permit renewals

Council approved both uses at 3982 Austell Powder Springs Road. The vote is confirmed; the exact adopted operating conditions remain unverified.

The food-truck park/commissary and rage room at 3982 Austell Powder Springs Road won unanimous special-use permit renewals from the Powder Springs City Council on November 2, 2026.[1]

Our earlier reports on the food-truck park’s proposed limits and the rage room’s proposed renewal terms left the Council outcome unconfirmed. The city’s action summary now confirms approval with 15 conditions for the food-truck park and five for the rage room.[1][2][3]

There is still an important distinction between the vote and the operating details. The action summary does not reproduce the conditions. Separate November 2 motion memoranda proposed two-year renewals for both uses, but the records reviewed do not confirm whether Council adopted every proposed term unchanged.[1][2][3]

For the food-truck park, case PZ 26-039, the proposed terms would allow up to five trucks with fire-marshal and health-department approval and prohibit alcohol sales. The agenda identifies Murrell White as the applicant; Dion Holmes is the applicant for the rage-room renewal, PZ 26-040.[2][4]

Both memoranda would require separate city temporary-event permits, considered case by case, for amplified-sound events. They would also bar temporary-event approval while code-enforcement violations remained open—a proposed restriction, not evidence that either operation currently has violations.[2][3]
