Cedar Grove repaving wins unanimous approval in $362,427.50 package

East Coast Grading’s award also covers the community-building driveway and Little Bear Creek bridge-approach repairs. The records reviewed do not establish a construction start date.

Chattahoochee Hills City Council voted unanimously November 5 to award East Coast Grading, Inc. a $362,427.50 road package that includes repaving more than a mile of Cedar Grove Road, according to the city’s draft meeting minutes.[1][2]

The vote moves the package beyond the proposed award we reported in October. The approved item, 26-072, also directs legal staff to review and finalize procedures.[1][3]

The bid manual calls for milling, patching, paving and striping approximately 5,660 feet of Cedar Grove Road, from the city limits near Old Ridge Road to Cochran Mill Road. It also includes 400 feet of driveway at the Cedar Grove Community Building.[2]

A separate piece covers repairs to the asphalt approach to the southernmost Little Bear Creek bridge on Cochran Mill Road, between Rivertown Road and South Fulton Parkway.[2]

The construction calendar is not established by these records. The bid agreement provides 60 days to substantial completion and 90 days to completion and readiness for final payment after the contract clock begins. The included notice-to-proceed form leaves the start date unfilled; those intervals are not announced construction dates.[2]
