Cedar Grove repaving heads to council in a $362,427.50 road package

The proposed East Coast Grading award also covers the community-building driveway and pavement repairs at the Little Bear Creek bridge approach.

More than a mile of Cedar Grove Road would get fresh pavement under a $362,427.50 contract Chattahoochee Hills City Council is scheduled to consider November 5. Item 26-072 proposes awarding the 2026 Road Improvement Project to East Coast Grading, Inc.; it is not a recorded approval.[1][2]

The bid manual describes milling, patching, paving and striping approximately 5,660 feet of Cedar Grove Road, from the city limits near Old Ridge Road to the intersection with Cochran Mill Road.[2]

The package also includes 400 feet of driveway at the Cedar Grove Community Building and repairs to the asphalt approach to the southernmost bridge over Little Bear Creek on Cochran Mill Road, between Rivertown Road and South Fulton Parkway.[2]

The bid agreement calls for substantial completion within 60 days after the contract clock begins, with completion and readiness for final payment within 90 days. Those are contract intervals, not announced construction dates: the included notice-to-proceed form has no filled-in start date.[2]

Council is also being asked to direct legal staff to review and finalize procedures. The November 5 meeting is listed for 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 6505 Rico Road.[1]
