Zoning board recommends 60-day delay for The Albert’s covered patio
The Nov. 5 recommendation follows a 30-day deferral recommendation in October. The marked agenda gives no new hearing date.
Atlanta’s Zoning Review Board recommended a 60-day deferral of The Albert’s outdoor-dining permit request on Nov. 5. The proposal calls for a covered patio behind the existing building at 918 Austin Avenue NE.[1][2]
Case U-26-14, paired with ordinance 26-O-1515, seeks a special-use permit under the city’s rule for outdoor dining within 1,000 feet of specified residential zoning districts or property used as housing.[3]
We previously reported the patio plan ahead of the Nov. 5 review. The board’s new recommendation follows its Oct. 8 recommendation for a 30-day deferral. NPU N and city staff also recommended deferral in the November entry.[1][2][4]
The November marked agenda does not give a new hearing date or explain the reason for the delay. It records a deferral recommendation, not approval of the permit; the reviewed records do not establish final permit approval or a patio opening date.[1]
