Explore the source documentsHartsfield-Jackson could get a mobile brine-making setup for snow and ice control under a purchase proposal capped at $140,000. Atlanta’s Transportation Committee is scheduled to consider it Oct. 14 at 10 a.m.[1]
The one-time purchase covers one trailer and related equipment to produce, store, transport and apply liquid brine at the airport—not simply a supply of the liquid itself.[1]
Resolution 26-R-4263 would authorize an agreement with Brine Technologies, Inc., paid from the Airport Renewal and Extension Fund.[1]
The city would use a competitively awarded Sourcewell purchasing contract. Atlanta’s chief procurement officer certifies in the resolution that Sourcewell’s competitive procedures were similar to the city’s and that its pricing is comparable to or below what a city procurement would yield.[1]
The committee listing establishes a scheduled review, not purchase approval. The agreement would require legal approval, mayoral execution, clerk attestation and delivery to the vendor before binding Atlanta. An equipment delivery date—and whether the trailer would be available for the coming winter—is not established in the resolution.[1]
