The proposed land purchase price is capped at $2 million. The combined ceiling for the purchase, due diligence and related acquisition services is $2,340,658.39—not an additional amount on top of the land price.

Upon acquisition, Parks and Recreation would retain the land permanently as a public park. The ordinance allows uses such as trails, playgrounds and picnic areas without establishing a construction schedule. The packet lists Oct. 5 Council consideration but does not establish its outcome or a completed purchase; acquisition documents require legal approval, mayoral or designated execution and clerk attestation before binding the city.
