Atlanta’s proposed donation to Intown Cares for street outreach and rehousing is listed for Finance/Executive Committee consideration Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m. But the supporting ordinance in the city’s Oct. 5 meeting packet leaves a basic funding question unanswered: how much would Atlanta contribute?[1]

Ordinance 26-O-1487 would support Intown Collaborative Ministries, Inc., known as Intown Cares. Its supporting text describes the Neighborhood Case Manager Program as an effort to connect unhoused residents with supportive services and permanent housing.[1]

The payment provisions leave both the dollar amount and the funding-account table unfilled. The reviewed text therefore does not establish the scale of the proposed contribution or which city accounts would pay for it.[1]

Councilmembers Matt Westmoreland, Liliana Bakhtiari, Alex Wan and Eshé Collins sponsor the measure. Council returned it to committee as held Oct. 5, according to draft action minutes—not as an approved donation.[1]

The Oct. 14 listing provides another checkpoint for following the proposal, not a guarantee of substantive debate or a vote. Neither the recorded hold nor the scheduled review establishes that this donation has been authorized or paid.[1]
