The proposed 1.6-mile route would follow the Chattahoochee River from Morgan Falls Overlook Park to an existing sidepath at Grogans Ferry Road. Anticipated work includes a multi-use trail, boardwalk and structural sections where terrain and floodplain conditions require them, plus trailhead and wayfinding improvements.

It identifies $6,995,775 available in the city's capital project and contributions of $1 million from the PATH Foundation and $30,000 from the Sandy Springs Conservancy, contingent on receiving the grant. Another $2,966,745 would need to be identified in future budgets.
