GDOT issued a construction notice to proceed for Segment 2 of Sandy Springs’ PATH400 extension on Sept. 9, 2026, according to the city’s Sept. 18 capital-project report. The entry says a fully executed GDOT construction agreement had been received for project T2506.

Segment 2 is described as a multi-use trail from the city limits to the I-285/400 interchange trail. Materials-testing contract awards and scheduling a pre-construction meeting were listed among the next steps; the entry does not establish that field construction on this segment had begun.

Separately, the report records wall construction, grading and bridge construction along the extension’s Segments 1 and 3, project T0060/S2121. That entry describes the multi-use trail concept from Loridans Drive to the I-285/SR 400 interchange trail.
