The applicant behind a proposed restaurant at 992 North Highland Avenue NE is asking Atlanta’s Board of Zoning Adjustment to delay its parking case while awaiting a companion rezoning. City planning staff supports the request and recommends a deferral to Dec. 10.[1]

The request for seven parking spaces instead of 31, which we reported in October, is case V-26-139. It is listed on the board’s Nov. 5 agenda for a noon meeting in the second-floor Council Chambers.[2]

The separate rezoning, Z-26-56, is listed for the Zoning Review Board’s Nov. 5 meeting at 6 p.m., also in the second-floor City Council Chambers. It would replace the site’s conditional residential-limited-commercial zoning with the Virginia Highland Neighborhood Commercial District designation.[3]

The staff memo, dated Nov. 5, recommends a delay—not approval of the parking reduction. Dec. 10 is the recommended date; the memo does not establish that the board has granted the deferral.[1]
