Chattahoochee Hills City Council approved a Trust for Public Land services agreement to support the potential acquisition of approximately 139 acres for conservation, greenspace and outdoor-recreation objectives, according to draft action minutes and the staff memorandum. Item 26-067 passed 4–1, with Councilmember Scott Lightsey voting against it. The memorandum identifies the tract as Fulton County tax parcel 08 280001350199.

TPL's work would include negotiating with the private landowner and arranging appraisals, title searches, environmental assessments, boundary surveys and inspections. The scope also includes preparing first- and second-level Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program application materials.

The packet's compensation summary lists hourly rates ranging from $130 to $250, plus expenses, and says the agreement has no fixed maximum compensation amount. City obligations are contingent on lawfully appropriated funds.

This is approval of acquisition and grant-writing services, not evidence of a completed land purchase or grant award. The action date remains unresolved because the draft minutes' header says October 1, 2026, while its footer identifies October 6.
