Macedonia Road proposal seeks more homes per acre than allowed
Cobb County signaled plans to object to the annexation, according to a Powder Springs staff report.
The proposal would bring 10.114 acres at 2761 Macedonia Road into Powder Springs and change the site's zoning to Mixed Use District.
What changes
SCP Acquisitions, LLC requested the annexation and a zoning change from R-20 to Mixed Use District (MXU). The site is in unincorporated Cobb County and borders Powder Springs on the north, east and south.

The annexation and rezoning notice was sent to the Cobb County Clerk's Office on July 31, 2026. The county replied with a Notice of Intent to Object on Aug. 11, 2026, according to the staff report.
