Northwood Drive crossings proposed between Kingsport Drive and Roswell Road
In the Sept. 1 council agenda packet, staff recommended awarding Ohmshiv Construction, LLC a $479,494.50 contract for the sidewalk and pedestrian-crossing project.
The plan called for two crossings with signals and rebuilding 12 curb ramps to meet accessibility standards.
What changes
The sidewalk work would replace 316 feet of sidewalk with six-foot-wide sidewalk on the south side of Northwood Drive.
The details
The two proposed crossings would be at mid-block locations. Plans also called for installing eight pedestrian lights.
Along with recommending the contract award, staff requested authorization for the city manager to sign the construction contract.
