Northwood Drive plan called for two signalized pedestrian crossings

Staff recommended awarding a $479,494.50 construction contract to Ohmshiv Construction, LLC, in the Sept. 1 council agenda packet.

The proposal would replace sidewalk and rebuild curb ramps for accessibility between Kingsport Drive and Roswell Road.

What changes

The sidewalk work would replace 316 linear feet with six-foot-wide sidewalk on the south side of Northwood Drive.

The details

The crossings would be at mid-block locations. Plans also called for reconstructing 12 curb ramps to meet accessibility standards and installing eight pedestrian lights.
