A proposed detached garage at 36 Whitefoord Avenue NE would move closer to two property boundaries than the setbacks listed in Atlanta’s zoning board agenda allow. The request is scheduled for review Nov. 5.[1]

Michael DeCarlo’s application, V-26-141, seeks a seven-foot rear setback instead of 15 feet and a three-foot south side setback instead of seven feet. Both requests would reduce the required clearance by more than half.[1]

The Board of Zoning Adjustment meeting is scheduled for noon in the second-floor Council Chambers. The agenda records the requested exceptions, not permission already granted.[1]

The agenda does not explain why the garage needs the shorter setbacks or show a site plan establishing its relationship to neighboring buildings.[1]
