A push for speed tables on Faith Avenue SE is headed to Atlanta City Council on Nov. 2. The resolution asks for traffic calming, but it is not a detailed installation plan.[1][2]
Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari’s resolution, 26-R-4270, asks the mayor or a designee to install traffic-calming devices between Glenwood Park Drive SE and Lewis Lane SE to reduce speeding.[1][3]
The measure says the Glenwood Park Community Association conducted a transportation survey in which residents prioritized speed tables for that stretch. Its operative request is broader: “traffic calming devices,” installed under the standards and prescribed evaluation methods used by the Atlanta Department of Transportation.[1]
The resolution gives no cost, number of devices or installation timetable. Council’s meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 2; the agenda establishes upcoming consideration, not final approval or completed work.[1][2]
