Council clears up to $450,000 to track citywide risks and claims
The three-year Origami Risk agreement is intended to help Atlanta manage its total cost of risk and automate workflows. A two-year renewal is optional.
Atlanta City Council voted 10–0 on Nov. 2 to authorize a three-year agreement with Origami Risk LLC, allowing up to $450,000 for a computerized system to track risks and claims across city government.[1][2]
The Finance Department’s system is intended to capture, manage and report citywide exposures. The resolution says the chief financial officer wants to identify, assess and manage Atlanta’s total cost of risk while automating risk-management processes and workflows as much as possible.[2]
The $450,000 ceiling applies to the initial three-year term. The city can choose one additional two-year renewal; the resolution does not specify a separate renewal price.[2]
We previously reported the Finance/Executive Committee’s unanimous Oct. 28 recommendation. Council’s adoption of substitute Resolution 26-R-4327 moves the agreement beyond that recommendation.[1][2]
Approval is not the same as a signed contract. The resolution says the agreement becomes binding only after legal approval, mayoral execution, clerk attestation and delivery to Origami Risk. The reviewed records do not establish whether those steps have been completed.[2]
