A $450,000 plan to track Atlanta’s risks—and their cost

A council committee backed a three-year Origami Risk agreement to help manage citywide risks and claims. Full council consideration is listed for Nov. 2.

Atlanta is weighing up to $450,000 for a computerized system to track risks and claims across city government, following a unanimous recommendation from the Finance/Executive Committee on Oct. 28.[1][2]

The committee-backed substitute names Origami Risk LLC for the Finance Department agreement. It lists a three-year term, one optional two-year renewal and a $450,000 ceiling. The minutes do not specify a separate renewal price.[1]

The underlying legislation describes a comprehensive risk-and-claims information network that would capture, manage and report citywide exposures. The chief financial officer’s stated goal is to identify, assess and manage the city’s total cost of risk while automating risk-management processes and workflows as much as possible.[2]

Resolution 26-R-4327 is listed for City Council consideration Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. The Oct. 28 action was a committee recommendation, not final council authorization.[1][2]
