Atlanta City Council is scheduled to consider $36.84 million for fire-safety construction on Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's Concourse B at its Nov. 2 meeting.[1]

Resolution 26-R-4322 would authorize a contract amendment with NSMS, the joint venture of New South Construction, McCarthy Building Companies and Synergy Development Partners. It would raise the broader terminal fire-life-safety contract's ceiling to $108.84 million—not allocate that entire amount to Concourse B.[1]

The measure is listed on the consent agenda for the 1 p.m. meeting. That portion of the agenda groups items unanimously approved by their committees for a single council adoption vote, although members can pull an item for separate discussion. Committee support is not final council authorization.[1]

The agenda summary does not detail the individual Concourse B upgrades or give a construction schedule. New South's available project description covers Concourse A and train-level tunnel improvements rather than detailing the proposed Concourse B work.[1][2]
