Atlanta’s Finance/Executive Committee voted 5–0 Oct. 14 to recommend returning $62,147.04 to water-and-sewer customers for account overpayments, according to draft minutes.[1]

Resolution 26-R-3995, sponsored by Councilmember Jason H. Winston, would authorize the chief financial officer to issue the refunds. The minutes put a dollar figure on a proposal whose earlier agenda entry left the total unspecified.[1][2]

The committee backed a substitute version—not final authorization to make the payments. The refund entry gives no customer count or payment timetable, and the records reviewed do not establish that any refunds have been paid.[1][2]

The minutes list Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint.[1]
