Applicant seeks to withdraw 55.76-foot driveway request on Los Angeles Avenue

Atlanta planning staff supports withdrawal of the bridge-and-stairs application and recommends denial without prejudice—not a completed board decision.

April Ingraham has asked to withdraw the zoning application for 901 Los Angeles Avenue NE, according to Atlanta planning staff. The bridge-and-stairs case includes a request to allow a driveway as wide as 55.76 feet instead of the permitted 20 feet.[1][2]

In a memo dated Nov. 5, staff supports withdrawal and recommends “denial without prejudice.” That is a staff recommendation, not a recorded Board of Zoning Adjustment decision. The board’s Nov. 5 agenda lists case V-25-248 under “Deferred Cases” for a noon meeting.[1][2]

Our earlier report examined the driveway and wall requests for the bridge-and-stairs project. Besides the driveway-width exception, the application seeks an 11.2-foot side-yard wall and a six-foot front-yard retaining wall, both above three-foot limits. It also requests changes to the front setback, lot coverage, driveway paving and garage placement.[1]

The memo does not explain why the applicant wants to withdraw.[1]
