Northwood Drive park crossing and sidewalk work receive construction-contract approval

A construction-contract award for Sandy Springs’ CDBG Northwood Drive Sidewalk Project was approved at the Sept. 1, 2026, meeting, according to the city’s Sept. 18 capital-project report. Project T0033-8 includes a pedestrian crossing from Kingsport Drive to Northwood Park.

The scope also calls for upgrading existing sidewalk from 201 Northwood Drive to Roswell Road to meet accessibility standards where necessary. The report lists executing the construction contract as the next step; award approval does not establish that the sidewalk work was finished.
