Six months, 71 camera licenses: Council approves fleet-system renewal

The unanimous Oct. 19 vote sets a $28,300 ceiling for a Samsara renewal funded from the FY27 software-maintenance budget.

Powder Springs City Council unanimously approved a six-month renewal of its Samsara fleet-management system on Oct. 19, authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement costing no more than $28,300.[1][2]

Samsara’s quote puts the six-month package at $28,235.28. It lists 71 Safety Enterprise dual-camera licenses and 71 Telematics Premier Public Sector licenses. Most of the quoted cost—$19,906.98—is for the camera licenses; the telematics licenses account for $8,328.30.[3]

The renewal is to be funded from the FY27 IT Software Maintenance budget. The quote lists hardware and accessories as included.[2][3]

The vote authorizes the mayor to sign the renewal; the records reviewed do not establish that it has been signed or give exact start and end dates for the six-month term.[1][3]
