‘Grown in Chatt Hills’? Plan eyes a local-product label in 2028
A seasonal farm festival is targeted for 2027. The adopted plan estimates $20,000 for the festival and $15,000 to explore product branding.
“Made in Chatt Hills” or “Grown in Chatt Hills” could become a label for locally made products. Chattahoochee Hills’ comprehensive plan, adopted in October, puts exploration of that idea on the city’s 2028 work list, with an estimated cost of $15,000.[1]
This is a product-branding idea, not simply another name for the city’s tourism marketing. The plan marks a broader city-branding program developed by the Convention and Visitors Bureau as completed. The new entry calls for working with farmers, businesses, the CVB and the Chattahoochee Hills Conservancy on a brand for local goods; it lists the general fund and sponsorships as funding sources.[1]
The farm-business timetable starts sooner. A seasonal festival celebrating local farms and agriculture is listed for 2027, with a $20,000 estimate. The work program also calls for a kickoff meeting with farmers and agriculture-related businesses, followed by twice-yearly meetings through its five-year schedule to identify barriers and ways to support their operations.[1]
Another 2027 task is to simplify and clarify city permitting for agritourism, on-farm retail and processing. That is a work-program commitment to revisit regulations—not a new permission granted to a business by the comprehensive plan itself.[1]
The distinction matters for anyone planning around these ideas: the table supplies implementation targets and estimated costs, not confirmed festival or product-label launch dates. The comprehensive plan is a policy guide for future development regulations and zoning decisions, rather than zoning regulations itself.[1]
