Fulton approves 50-radio deal for Chattahoochee Hills police and fire
County commissioners approved the agreement Oct. 21. Annual access charges start at $30,000 in 2027 and rise to $33,000 in 2029.
Fulton County commissioners approved an agreement Oct. 21 for 50 Chattahoochee Hills police and fire radios to use the county’s 800 MHz system. The agreement passed as part of the board’s consent agenda.[1][2]
The county action supplies the approval missing from our earlier report on the city’s agreement. The city’s precise vote tally remains unresolved because its draft minutes repeat the radio item number in a later grant motion.[1][3]
The agreement sets annual charges at $30,000 in 2027 and 2028, rising 10% to $33,000 in 2029 and 2030. Its initial service period runs Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2027, with three renewal options extending through 2030.[2]
Those payments cover the city’s share of maintaining the county radio system—not the purchase of its radios. Chattahoochee Hills remains responsible for buying and maintaining its own equipment, while Fulton maintains and supports the system’s core.[2]
Approval and signed execution are separate questions. The agreement’s effective-date clause requires adoption by both governing authorities, or county board approval, whichever is later. The county-posted copy has blank signature lines; these records establish government approval, but do not confirm completed execution.[1][2][3]
