New RiverLands accessible trail wins approval for $12,500 in donations
Grading and drainage are substantially complete, and staff anticipate finishing the Wheel Beautiful trail in October 2026.

Chattahoochee Hills council approved accepting three donations totaling $12,500 for the Wheel Beautiful Scenic Universal Access Trail at New RiverLands Park on September 1, according to draft meeting minutes. Each resolution passed unanimously as amended.

Source p. 2 ↗In a September 9 update to the Convention and Visitors Bureau Authority, staff reported that grading and drainage were substantially complete, the viewing platform was nearing completion and rubber-modified asphalt surfacing was forthcoming. Overall completion remained anticipated in October 2026.
