Staff seek restaurant-based parking calculation for Macedonia Road project

Powder Springs staff recommend revising the commercial-parking calculation for the proposed 242-apartment development at 2761 Macedonia Road. The Sept. 10 report says a 2,500-square-foot restaurant within the commercial space would bring the estimated commercial parking requirement to approximately 26 spaces, compared with 17 shown on the reviewed plan.

Staff's recommended conditions would require a calculation based on the actual commercial uses, with review and approval before a commercial building permit is issued. Approved shared parking could help satisfy the requirement. These are conditional staff recommendations, not adopted zoning conditions.
