Sandy Springs City Council unanimously approved revoking Nubia Café & Restaurant’s business occupational tax certificate on Sept. 15. The business, operated as Neptune General, LLC d/b/a Nubia Café & Restaurant, is at 8599 Roswell Road, Suite C1.

The city’s notice alleged that Nubia served alcohol without required state or local licenses after police responded to a shooting there Aug. 15. At the council hearing, the business’s counsel said the city had to establish grounds for revocation and asked council to consider suspension instead.
