In this report: scheduled · Sep 3, 2026
Sandy Springs City Council is scheduled Sept. 15 to hear Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School's appeal of a denied special-event permit. The school requested temporary football-field lighting for its Oct. 2, 2026, homecoming game and celebration.
Source p. 3 ↗The city manager's denial letter says the school's zoning conditions limit athletic-field lighting to low-level security lighting for specified walkways, parking lots and structures. The letter says those conditions have not been amended and conflict with the requested temporary high-intensity field lights.
Source p. 34 ↗Council is being asked to decide whether the denial should stand or be reversed and the permit granted. The regular meeting is listed for the Studio Theatre at City Hall, 1 Galambos Way, following the work session.
