Chattahoochee Hills approves GovWell switch for business licenses and rental permits

Chattahoochee Hills council unanimously approved a GovWell agreement as amended on September 1, according to draft minutes. Staff requested the change to replace the city's current system for business licenses and short-term rental permits.

Staff's proposal describes automatic renewal reminders and renewal forms populated with an applicant's previous information. It also would let staff review submissions and request corrections before generating an invoice.

The packet gives a GovWell implementation estimate of eight to 12 weeks per module for configuration, testing and staff training, with modules rolling out sequentially. That is an implementation estimate, not a confirmed opening date for the new system.
