Varner House study planned to guide future uses at Riverlands Park

Chattahoochee Now plans to seek proposals to determine the original period of the city-owned Varner House and help decide its potential uses within Riverlands Park, according to draft Historic Commission minutes from August 10. Those minutes were listed for approval on the commission’s September 14 agenda.

The discussion addressed whether Chattahoochee Now or the city should manage the project and how proposals would be funded. Suggested uses included event headquarters or a place to keep brochures out of the weather. These were possibilities discussed for the house, rather than an approved reuse plan.
