Fulton outlines four-member Budget Commission for 2027 planning

Fulton County’s Aug. 19 agenda describes a four-member Budget Commission for the fiscal 2027 budget-development cycle: the county manager, chief financial officer and two county commissioners.

One commissioner represents districts 1, 2 and 3, and the other represents districts 4, 5 and 6. Item 26-0471 says a district group need not nominate a representative when eligibility or vice-chair provisions leave only one eligible commissioner.

The county’s Aug. 5 agenda had sought approval of a resolution to re-establish the commission to help develop the annual budget. The later membership entry supplies its structure and selection rules, but is not a vote record establishing adoption of that resolution, item 26-0460.
