Inspection summary
The inspector observed an employee ENTER INTO BUILDING AND TOUCH/HANDLE CLEAN EQUIPMENT AND FOOD IN PREP TOP COOLER IN FRONT FOOD SERVICE AREA WITHOUT WASHING HANDS UPON ENTRY OF FACILITY/KITCHEN C/A: Food employees shall clean their hands and exposed portions of their arms immediately before engaging in food preparation including working with exposed food, clean equipment and utensils, and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles and (i) After touching bare human body parts other than clean hands and clean, exposed arms; (ii) After using the toilet room; (iii) After caring for or handling service animals or aquatic animals; (iv) After coughing, sneezing, using a handkerchief or disposable tissue,… [2]
The inspector also observed an employee PUSH DOWN ICE IN ICE BIN AT SODA FOUNTAIN USED FOR CUSTOMER BEVERAGES WITH BARE HANDS C/A: Except when washing fruits and vegetables or as specified under subsection (a)4, food employees shall not contact exposed, ready-to-eat food with their bare hands and shall use suitable utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves, or dispensing equipment. The report states: “IN DISCUSSION WITH PIC, HE CONFIRMED THAT NO CURRENT EMPLOYEES HAVE READ, ACKNOWLEDGE AND SIGN THE EMPLOYEE HEALTH AGREEMENTS THAT ENSURE EMPLOYEES ARE AWARE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO REPORT THEIR HEALTH AS IT RELATES TO SYMPTOMS/ILLNESSES TRANSMISSIBLE VIA FOOD.” [4]
