Amsterdam Avenue residential plan change listed for Oct. 13 committee review

The proposal would replace the property's single-family plan designation with Low Density Residential. Its held-docket listing is not approval or a notice of a property-specific hearing.

A proposed change in how Atlanta's comprehensive plan designates 573 Amsterdam Avenue NE is listed among held items for the Community Development/Human Services Committee's Oct. 13 meeting. It would replace Medium Lot Single Family with Low Density Residential.[1]

Ordinance 26-O-1465 would amend the city's 2025 comprehensive development plan. It explicitly links planning application CDP-26-014 to zoning case Z-26-029, but the proposed plan designation is a separate matter from a rezoning approval or permission to build.[1]

The legislation's history records City Council returning the plan measure as held Oct. 5. The next committee meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in the Larry M. Dingle Committee Room at City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue.[1]

An earlier notation says the measure was held Aug. 25 for a comprehensive-plan public hearing. That does not establish that Oct. 13 is the hearing: the agenda identifies a regular committee meeting and lists the measure as held. The packet does not establish adoption of the plan amendment or a final decision on the associated zoning case.[1]
