Truitt Street SW abandonment remains held in Atlanta committee

Atlanta’s Transportation Committee unanimously held a proposal to abandon Truitt Street SW. The supporting ordinance describes it as an unpaved paper street and says the transportation commissioner concluded it is no longer useful or necessary as a public right-of-way.

Ordinance 26-O-1534 would remove the street from the municipal street system; the committee hold does not establish that abandonment occurred. The minutes list Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint.
