Atlanta’s held Beltline lane proposal asks for dedicated space for bicycles and authorized low-speed motorized devices—not an unrestricted motorized-vehicle lane. Resolution 26-R-3534 asks Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. to coordinate with the transportation and parks departments on the installation.

Where feasible, the lanes would be physically separated or clearly delineated from pedestrian pathways using striping, grade separation, barriers or other design treatments. The proposed request also calls for signs, pavement markings and enforcement measures defining permitted uses.

The Transportation Committee’s Sept. 30 minutes keep the measure held and list Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint. These remain requested changes, not an approved lane design or evidence of completed installation.
