Glynn Drive annexation plan held by Atlanta finance panel

Atlanta’s Finance/Executive Committee unanimously held a proposal to annex properties fronting Glynn Drive SE from unincorporated DeKalb County. Ordinance 26-O-1542 concerns a petition using Georgia’s 60% annexation method.

The proposed ordinance would extend both Atlanta’s corporate limits and the Atlanta Independent School System boundary to include the annexed area. The committee hold does not enact the annexation; the minutes list Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint.
