A resolution listed on Atlanta City Council’s Sept. 21 agenda affirms support for light rail along the full 22-mile Beltline corridor and use of the existing transit right-of-way. The Transportation Committee gave the amended measure a favorable vote, 5–0 with one abstention. Its recommendation does not establish Council adoption or construction funding.

The resolution also supports rails on grass where feasible and requests coordinated implementation and funding updates from the administration, MARTA, Atlanta Beltline, Inc. and relevant city departments.
