A plan supporting the proposed Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard NW rezoning calls for 290 multifamily homes on an 8.54-acre site. Its development summary also lists 1,000 square feet of proposed nonresidential space and 50,000 square feet of existing nonresidential space to remain.

The request covers 1425 and 1475 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard NW, with Crescent Acquisitions, LLC as applicant. Ordinance 26-O-1385, zoning case Z-26-33, would replace heavy-industrial and conditional multifamily designations with mixed-residential-commercial zoning while retaining the Beltline and Upper Westside overlays.

Atlanta’s Zoning Committee unanimously recommended the rezoning Sept. 28. Staff and the Zoning Review Board recommend approval, while the neighborhood planning unit recommends denial. The minutes list Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint; the committee recommendation does not establish final rezoning approval or authorization to build the plan.
