Atlanta City Council approved $239.1 million Sept. 21 to partially fund the construction phase of the Concourse D South Pier at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Resolution 26-R-4015 passed 13–0.

The resolution authorizes an amendment to the Concourse D widening construction-management agreement with Holder-Moody-Bryson-Sovereign, a joint venture, raising its ceiling to $1,279,100,000. That is the resulting agreement limit, not an additional $1.2791 billion allocation under this action.

The wider project would expand Concourse D from 60 feet to as much as 99 feet, add north and south extensions, update existing components to current building codes and relocate passenger boarding bridges. The council action authorizes funding and an agreement amendment; it does not establish completion of the South Pier.
