An ordinance on Atlanta’s Sept. 30 Transportation Committee agenda proposes accepting and budgeting up to $2 million from a federal Reconnecting Communities Pilot grant for environmental engineering and design on the Centennial Yards Complete Streets project. The ordinance says the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded the grant in January 2025; this measure concerns the city’s acceptance of that award.
Sources01p. 101p. 16The proposal would add the funds to Atlanta’s fiscal 2027 grant budget and authorize an agreement with Centennial Yards Company for program-management assistance and the required 20% local match, up to $500,000. First reading does not establish city acceptance of the grant or authorize street construction.
