Atlanta’s City Utilities Committee unanimously recommended Sept. 29 a first renewal of Synagro South, LLC’s agreement to haul and dispose of solids from water and wastewater treatment plants, with a ceiling of $18.25 million. Resolution 26-R-4134 makes the renewal expressly contingent on adoption of the FY 2028 budget.

The supporting resolution says the existing three-year term expires Oct. 31, 2026, and provides two one-year renewal options. The recorded action is a committee recommendation, not an executed renewal; the minutes list Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint.
