The initial work would focus on approximately 3,000 linear feet of creek on the east side of Atlanta Memorial Park, beginning at the Dellwood PATH bridge and including the stretch in front of the new Atlanta Opera. The application deadline is Oct. 16, 2026; city funds would not be accessed before April 2027 and only if the full $3 million state grant is awarded.

Ordinance 26-O-1532 would encumber funds through the FY 2027 Water and Wastewater Renewal and Extension Fund. The committee recommendation does not establish a grant award or final city appropriation. The minutes list Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. as the next checkpoint.
