Sandy Springs’ Board of Appeals is scheduled to begin its 2027 meeting calendar Jan. 6, followed by the Planning Commission on Jan. 20. Both meetings start at 6 p.m.[1]

The calendars list Wednesday evening meetings throughout the year, with a summer gap: neither board has a July meeting scheduled. After their June sessions, the Board of Appeals returns Aug. 4 and the Planning Commission Aug. 18.[1]

September and December deserve a separate calendar entry rather than a recurring first- or third-Wednesday reminder. The Board of Appeals is scheduled for Sept. 8 and Dec. 8; the Planning Commission for Sept. 22 and Dec. 22.[1]

A staff memo explains that the schedule was built around Wednesdays following the first City Council meeting of each month for the Board of Appeals and the second council meeting for the Planning Commission. Council adopted both calendars Oct. 6, 2026.[1][2]

These are meeting calendars, not notices assigning particular applications or public hearings to those dates. They do not supply meeting locations, application deadlines or public-comment procedures. Residents should check individual meeting notices and agendas before making plans to attend.[1]
